ALFAIATE ROSÉ 2025

A delicate salmon-colored rosé wine with expressive aromas of fresh red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) and floral notes typical of Touriga Nacional, sometimes accompanied by light touches of spice brought by Syrah. On the palate it is light and refreshing, with good acidity, a smooth texture and an elegant and persistent finish.

CONCEPT
The Represa de Baixo vineyard, located in the Serra de Grândola, is planted on a historic property with records dating back to Roman times, 1st and 3rd centuries AD. At approximately 200 meters altitude and about 10 km from the Atlantic Ocean, with a unique and exceptional terroir, we seek the most vibrant expression of Portuguese grape varieties, demonstrating their full potential for producing quality wines with great aging potential.

SOIL GEOLOGY
The soils where the vines that produce the grapes for Alfaiate wine grow are essentially very old schists, dating from the Lower Carboniferous period (ca. 300 million years ago). They are poor soils with an acidic reaction, in which the roots of the vines penetrate deeply through the cleavage planes of the schist to the cooler lower layers. Their dark colors absorb solar radiation, which is released as heat at night, allowing the production of very high-quality grapes.

GRAPE VARIETIES
Touriga Nacional, Syrah.

VITICULTURE
Integrated Production.

VINIFICATION
Manual harvesting, rigorous selection in the vineyard and winery, guaranteeing only bunches of superior quality. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with rigorous temperature control, promoting the gradual extraction of color, aromas, and tannins. Extended maceration optimizes structure and complexity. After alcoholic fermentation is complete, gentle pressing follows, naturally stabilizing and clarifying, preserving the typicity of each variety and the authentic expansion of the batch and the “terroir”.

AGING
In stainless steel tanks, preserving freshness and aromatic purity.
