This wine presents great aromatic intensity, called for exotic fruits and floral aromas. On the palate it has an unctuous and structured taste. It is a persistent wine with good acidity that gives it a pleasant freshness.
Mineral finish.
It will evolve well over the next few years.
SOIL GEOLOGY
The soils where the vines that produce the grapes for Alfaiate wine grow are essentially very old schists, dating from the Lower Carboniferous period (ca. 300 million years ago).
They are poor soils with an acidic reaction, in which the roots of the vines penetrate deeply through the cleavage planes of the schist to the cooler lower layers. Their dark colors absorb solar radiation, which is released as heat at night, allowing the production of very high-quality grapes.
